CLASSES RANGING FROM

Beginner to Advanced

Each class is unique in its own way based on the participants skill levels. Some may require more coaching and attention. Classes are kid friendly and we have to be mindful of the level they are starting at. Private lessons are available for one on one paddle coaching. Then we will cover more technique and continue building on skills.

SUP Yoga Anchored

Perfect way to connect with nature, this is an all levels class. Improve balance and flexibility. We anchor the boards for yoga and have the chance to paddle before or after the fully lead yoga class. The class anchors close to the dock where we launch from and its about 4ft – 4.5ft deep. Take your practice out on the floating studio. Experience a blissful practice that combines balance, strength and pranayama. Enhance your practice, let nature stimuli you, unplug and have fun on a paddleboard. Enjoy sunset from your board!

All outdoor classes are held on beautiful Sylvan Lake, MI. Classes: Resume Spring 2021

Gentle Wave

Move at a gentle guided pace as you balance the mind and body through meditation, as well as breathing techniques through practice.

Paddle Fit

Advanced, move at a faster pace, more balancing for the experienced SUP yogi.

Group Sunset Paddle Tour

Learn to paddleboard, improve paddle technique and gain more experience being on the board. This is an all – levels class, each class is different based on the participants experience levels. Learn cues of alignment on a paddleboard, proper paddle stroke technique, stance and safety. Enjoy the sunset while we adventure to different areas of Sylvan Lake while connecting with a supportive SUP community.

Paddle & Yoga

On special nights, we divide the class time up with a paddle and free float yoga. This class type gets the best of both worlds, paddle and yoga while the sun is setting. Depending on the wind, the class might float back going downwind doing yoga back to our launch spot. Every class is different but this one gets you to see more on the lake and makes each one unique.

Balance Board Yoga

In this class type beginners can experience the unstable board being on land. The seasoned student can keep building core strength and enhancing their skills on a SUP during the off season. By practicing yoga on an unstable surface, yogis train a lot of the muscles they don’t normally use in a regular yoga class. In addition to strengthening the core, cardio and standing balancing. Different muscles are constantly called upon as your balance shifts along with your poses. Also this special class format helps in familiarizing yourself with the same boards used in the water during the summer months. If you have some fears of the water but have curiosity about a trying a challenge, this is a great starting point. This class type would be offered in studio or outside on the grass in the early spring.

Paddleboard Pool Fitness

Experience the boards in anchored in the shallow levels of the pool. This class would be idea for beginners to immediate levels. We learn how to fall off the board and how to get back on safely. In class we will incorporate fully lead yoga sequence, along with some strengthening techniques with resistance bands. Perfect class for low impact practice. Increase core strength, balance and flexibility all in a controlled environment. Mindful movements to flow from squats to standing. Ending with a cool down and relaxation. Another great class that gets you ready for the lake or keep up with your practice during the off season. Same boards are used in the pool and lake, to create a seamless translation. Space is limited, first come first serve. Pool classes may resume in 2021.
